CNN: 80% of New Hampshire Residents Who Voted In GOP Primary Say Ron Paul "Is Most Likely To Beat Obama"

Exit polling is often quite accurate, so much so that news organizations will often project a winner based on 5%-10% of the vote coupled with what voters are saying when leaving the polling stations.

If you were watching it live, you would have noticed that this particular graphic was pulled off the screen as fast it was put up. Quite curious that, considering the overwhelming nature of the results presented in the graphic, it wasn't mentioned again.

Considering that the media is owned by the proverbial establishment and Ron Paul is not favored by the status quo, it's actually not surprising at all that the media (or their corporate masters to be more precise) don't want this type of information being given to and digested by the American people.

I bet whoever put this graphic up got fired the next day.

Of course, this is all just my opinion.

SEED: NY City Council Calls For End To Corporate Personhood

Inspired by last month’s similar vote by the Los Angeles City Council, today the New York City Council approved a resolution calling for a Constitutional amendment to establish that only living persons -- not corporations -- are endowed with constitutional rights and to overturn the Supreme Court created doctrine that campaign spending is equivalent to free speech.

“We believe that corporations should not share the same rights as people, that unlimited and unreported corporate donations meant to sway the electoral process should not be considered freedom of speech, and that the government should regulate the raising and spending of money by corporations intended to influence elections,” stated a release issued by the Progressive Caucus of the New York City Council. “We cannot allow corporate money to manipulate our democracy.”

SEED: New Hampshire Press Endorses Ron Paul For President

Ahead of the New Hampshire primary next week, three of the State’s newspapers have endorsed Ron Paul for president.

The Littleton Courier, Berlin Reporter, and Coos County Democrat all announced today their support for Paul, citing Paul’s consistentcy and legitimacy on major issues.

“Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney has been in the lead for months,” wrote the editors, “but voters still seem desperate for an alternative — there’s always another candidate pulling stronger or almost as strong numbers in the polls. Voters have lost faith in Obama, but they are not sold on Romney to replace him.”

SEED: Iranian Website: This Is How We'll Close Strait of Hormuz

The article enumerated the forces and weapons that Iran could employ in such a military operation, including fast attack craft carrying anti-ship missiles; submarines; battleships; cruise and ballistic missiles; bombers carrying laser-, radar- and optically-guided missiles; helicopters; armed drones; hovercraft; and artillery.

It stated that despite Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei's statements that Tehran would not initiate a military confrontation but would retaliate harshly if attacked, "there is no guarantee that [Tehran] will not launch a preemptory strike on the civilian level, for instance through cyber-warfare or by means of economic pressure, including by closing the Strait of Hormuz and cutting off [this] energy lifeline for an indefinite period of time." It added, "Should additional sanctions be imposed on Iran, especially in the domain of oil export, Iran might keep [its] oil from leaving its territorial waters."

SEED: FEMA Pulls Document On The Coming Lockdown (Document Copied & Archived Before Removal)

I posted a commentary on Newsvine earlier this year regarding a banned episode of Jesse Ventura's Conspiracy Theory television show.

It was about the controversial but very relevant topic of the federal government's plan to use FEMA under an induced martial law scenario (i.e. economic collapse emergency legislation) to subjugate and militarily control the American population.

The commentary generated a significant amount of discussion, both pro and con. If you're not familiar with it, please consider reading it at this link.
Here's an excerpt from my commentary:
There is a reason cited that this particular video was banned is because, proponents argue, that these secret camps will ultimately be used to jail U.S. citizens in the event of martial law or civil war. This video clip illustrates this concept very well, but if it peaks your interest and attention you might consider downloading and watching the entire video episode.
This brand new seed serves to support the earlier discussion for those who participated, and for those that didn't it should independently serve as a harbinger of what could be in store for this nation.
FEMA Pulls Document On The Coming Lock-Down
Alex Jones discovered an incriminating document on a U.S. government site. Within an hour, it was pulled. But he got an image of it.
This is part of COG: continuity of government. These plans have been circulating for at least 40 years.

SEED: Indefinite Detention And Torture Act Arrives At White House

Legislation that will let President Obama and future leaders of America detain and torture Americans indefinitely has made it to the White House, where it is expected to be soon signed into law by the commander-in-chief.

The National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012, of NDAA FY2012, was overwhelmingly approved by the House and Senate earlier this month. While the legislation indeed had its critics, the act was inexplicably missed by the mainstream media, who neglected to inform Americans of the dangerous blows to constitutional rights that will become a reality under the law.

The bill, which is annually updated to outline spending for the Department of Defense, contains several provisions for 2012 that will turn America, as Senator Lindsey Graham puts it, “into a battlefield.” As the US continues an open-ended war on terror, now American citizens suspected to be linked to terrorist enemies can be detained in prison indefinitely and subjected to torture tactics previously outlawed.

SEED: Gingrich 'Inadvertently' Names Porn Company 'Entrepreneur of The Year' For Stimulating The Economy

Please Note: This story is three years old, but it's still hilarious, relevant in my opinion, and is simply another chronicle in life and times of this man who would one day dare to utter the phrase, "When I'm President..."

This week, Allison Vivas of Pink Visual received a fax from Newt Gingrich’s American Solutions for Winning the Future (ASWF) group, informing her that she’s been chosen for a 2009 Entrepreneur of the Year award by his Business Defense and Advisory Council. From the letter obtained by ThinkProgress:
Newt would like to arrange a private dinner with you at the historic Capitol Hill Club on the evening of October 7, 2009 in Washington. You’ll dine privately with Newt at this exclusive venue and he’ll take the occasion to present you with your well deserved award and have your photo taken together.
This tremendous honor is a testament to your success in building your business and recognition of the risks you take to create jobs and stimulate the economy. As an award winner, you’ll be on the ground floor as Newt and his Council begin the work to turn this country around. … Newt is looking forward to hearing your ideas on getting the economy moving again and getting your feedback on his plans over dinner.
Pink Visual is a porn DVD superstore — not the type of company you’d expect Gingrich would want stimulating the economy. ThinkProgress contacted Gingrich aide Joe Gaylord, who sent the faxed letter to Vivas, but we didn’t receive a response. An ASWF representative reportedly called Pink Visual this morning saying it had “inadvertently” sent the fax to Vivas and was retracting the honor.

SEED: Congressman Ron Paul Emerges As Outsider Alternative In GOP Race

Suddenly, Ron Paul is in contention to win the Iowa caucuses and do well in the New Hampshire primary two weeks before the first votes are cast, reflecting the fluidity of the Republican presidential race as well as the inability of the party's social conservative, tea party and establishment wings to coalesce behind a favored candidate.

Yet, while the libertarian-leaning Texas congressman is earning support for his tight-fisted fiscal positions, he's so out of step with the GOP mainstream on foreign policy and some domestic issues that even his most loyal aides doubt he can use his momentum to win the Republican nomination.

"I'm very much in the Republican tradition," Paul insisted Tuesday as he campaigned in New Hampshire before heading back to Iowa on Wednesday. "Very much in the American tradition."

True or not, this much is certain: Paul is having a major impact on the campaign. His outsider persona and refusal to acquiesce to the ways of Washington — he's nicknamed "Dr. No" on Capitol Hill for voting against much legislation — has earned him a loyal following that he's leveraged to build a strong organization in Iowa and elsewhere. The respect that has long eluded him in the party may finally be coming to him.

Still, it's questionable how far he can go.

SEED: Kim Jong Il, a Cold War-era leader in modern times, Dies Of Massive Heart Attack

Even as the world changed around him, North Korean leader Kim Jong Il remained firmly in control, ruling absolutely at home and keeping the rest of the world on edge through a nuclear weapons program.

Inheriting power from his father in 1994, he led his nation through a devastating famine while frustrating the U.S. and other global powers with an on-again, off-again approach to talks on giving up nuclear arms in return for energy and other assistance. Kim was one of the last remnants of a Cold War-era that ended years earlier in most other countries.

His death was announced Monday by state television two days after he died. North Korea's news agency reported that he had died at 8:30 a.m. Saturday after having a heart attack on a train, adding that he had been treated for cardiac and cerebrovascular diseases for a long time. He was 69.

Kim, who reputedly had a taste for cigars, cognac and gourmet cuisine, is believed to have suffered a stroke in 2008 but he had appeared relatively vigorous in photos and video from recent trips to China and Russia and in numerous trips around the country documented by state media.

His longtime pursuit of nuclear weapons and his military's repeated threats to South Korea and the U.S. stoked worries that fighting might break out again on the Korean peninsula or that North Korea might provide weapons of mass destruction to terrorist movements. The Korean War ended more than 50 years ago in a cease-fire, and the two sides remain technically in a state of war.

SEED: 50 Economic Numbers From 2011 That Are Almost Too Crazy To Believe

Even though most Americans have become very frustrated with this economy, the reality is that the vast majority of them still have no idea just how bad our economic decline has been or how much trouble we are going to be in if we don't make dramatic changes immediately.

If we do not educate the American people about how deathly ill the U.S. economy has become, then they will just keep falling for the same old lies that our politicians keep telling them.  Just "tweaking" things here and there is not going to fix this economy.  We truly do need a fundamental change in direction.  America is consuming far more wealth than it is producing and our debt is absolutely exploding.  If we stay on this current path, an economic collapse is inevitable.  Hopefully the crazy economic numbers from 2011 that I have included in this article will be shocking enough to wake some people up.

At this time of the year, a lot of families get together, and in most homes the conversation usually gets around to politics at some point.  Hopefully many of you will use the list below as a tool to help you share the reality of the U.S. economic crisis with your family and friends.  If we all work together, hopefully we can get millions of people to wake up and realize that "business as usual" will result in a national economic apocalypse.

SEED: Will the Federal Reserve Allow Ron Paul Into The White House?

Could it all be a bad dream or a nightmare? Is it my imagination or have we lost our minds?

It's surreal, it's just not believable.

A grand absurdity, a great deception, a delusion of momentous proportions based on preposterous notions and on ideas whose time should never have come.

Simplicity, grossly distorted and complicated.

Insanity, cast off as logic.

Grandiose schemes built on falsehoods with the morality of Ponzie and Madoff.

Evil described as virtue.

Ignorance pawned off as wisdom.

Destruction and impoverishment in the name of humanitarianism.

Violence, the tool of change.

Preventive wars used as the road to peace.

Tolerance delivered by government guns.

Reactionary views in the guise of progress.

An empire replacing the republic.

Slavery sold as liberty.

Excellence and virtue traded for mediocricy.

Socialism to save capitalism.

SEED: Bombshell! New York Times, Jay Rosen, Clay Shirky Caught on Tape

Elite media -- self-admittedly corrupt and criminally negligent. It is undeniable proof of what we have been accusing the Times and all big media of. How the left is destroying America.
NYT Consultant and NYU Journalism professors of the self-identified media "elite" discuss strategy to legitimize Obama, help Occupy Wall Street, NPR tax loophole, defeating Perry and Bachmann. Jay Rosen says, "We are the one percent."
I've written previously about my views on the correlation between the bought-and-paid-for mainstream media, the corporate media, and the political establishment.
However, I am but one of numerous folks, from all walks of life, who share the same sentiment and understand how the western media is orchestrated and controlled not necessarily by current events taking place but by the financial and political elite.
Incidentally, as a freelance journalist I also attempted to call Mr. Jay Rosen to ask him about some of the comments made in the video, but after repeated attempts could only reach his voice mail.
No matter your view about the notion that the western media is controlled, the comments made by both prominent individuals on the video are suspect and deserve more attention and contemplation.

SEED: Iraq War Ends With A $4 Trillion IOU

The nine-year-old Iraq war came to an official end on Thursday, but paying for it will continue for decades until U.S. taxpayers have shelled out an estimated $4 trillion.

Over a 50-year period, that comes to $80 billion annually.

Although that only represents about 1% of nation’s gross domestic product, it’s more than half of the national budget deficit. It’s also roughly equal to what the U.S. spends on the Department of Justice, Homeland Security and the Environmental Protection Agency combined each year.

Near the start of the war, the U.S. Defense Department estimated it would cost $50 billion to $80 billion. White House economic adviser Lawrence Lindsey was dismissed in 2002 after suggesting the price of invading and occupying Iraq could reach $200 billion.

SEED: 14 Conspiracy Theories That The Media Now Admits Are Conspiracy Facts

How many times have you heard the mainstream media dismiss certain points of view as “conspiracy theories”? It seems as though one of the easiest ways to brush something off is to label it as something that only “conspiracy theorists” would believe. Well, you know what? A whole lot of the time the “conspiracy theorists” are right and the mainstream media is wrong.

In fact, we owe a great debt to “conspiracy theorists” because they will go places and investigate things that the mainstream media would never even touch. The reality is that the mainstream media only tells us what the government and the big corporations want us to hear, and much of the time it is those in the alternative media that are left with the task of trying to figure out what the real truth is. So don’t look down on conspiracy theories or conspiracy theorists. In a world where almost everything we are told is a lie, the truth can be very difficult to find.

SEED: Game-Changing Cold Fusion Technology Meets Election 2012. How Will The Candidates Respond?

With the 2012 United States presidential election approaching, the reality of cold fusion must be spreading through corridors of power in Washington, DC. With the US military purchasing thirteen E-Cat plants, how will politicians react to a game changing source of energy?

The election season in the United States is accelerating, and the Republican primaries are almost upon us. Before too long, the actual general election will take place, and the nation will choose its representatives, senators, and the next president. Similar scenarios will play out in other nations and their elections as well in the near future.

As usual, during the next few months politicians will make promises they do not intend to keep, flip flop on policy issues, attack each other, and do whatever it takes to get elected. Meanwhile, the ultra wealthy, elite power barons who control the mainstream media will do their best to blackout certain candidates (like Ron Paul). At the same time, they will promote other candidates that they know will abide by their wishes, and maintain the status quo -- of big government, constant warfare, fear mongering, and the printing of money from thin air by the Federal Reserve.

What is going to be so uniquely interesting about this election cycle is that a truly exotic source of clean, cheap, safe, and pollution free energy has been discovered. In fact, this game changing breakthrough is already entering the market place, with the US military being the first customer. The technology is Andrea Rossi's E-Cat (Energy Catalyzer). Already, almost a year before the first votes are cast, E-Cat modules have been purchased by the US military, and are being further researched and developed.

SEED: Houston Police Place Large Tent Over Restrained Protesters and Gas Them (Video)

This is clearly a move to HIDE misconduct and prevent any Judicial action to protect the rights of protesters. Any judge worth his oath should immediately issue a restraining order/injunction forcing the Police to work in what is called the "Light Of Day". Anytime a Government can act in secret to arrest and detain ANY individual in secret clearly indicates a Fascist Act to abuse and intimidate the Public At Large with fear to control and retrain them exercising their Constitutional Rights.
After watching this entire video, it's truly difficult to remain objective when it comes to what apparently transpires between some of the protesters (seemingly those who are already restrained) and the police.
America is spiraling more into a Police State every day.

SEED: Google chairman says online piracy bill would 'criminalize' the Internet

An online piracy bill in the House would “criminalize linking and the fundamental structure of the Internet itself,” according to Google Executive Chairman Eric Schmidt.

Schmidt said the controversial Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) would punish Web firms, including search engines, that link to foreign websites dedicated to online piracy. He said implementing the bill as written would effectively break the Internet.

“By criminalizing links, what these bills do is they force you to take content off the Internet,” Schmidt said, calling it a form of censorship.

The search giant has been at the forefront of a tech industry backlash against the legislation from House Judiciary Chairman Lamar Smith (R-Texas).

SEED: 1,900 Year Old Wisdom: “An Imbalance Between Rich and Poor Is the Oldest and Most Fatal Ailment of all Republics”

I noted in February that John Kenneth Galbraith and Marriner Eccles explained 50 years ago that inequality causes crashes, and that many modern economists agree.

I just found a slightly older statement saying the same thing.

Specifically, the well-known Greek historian Plutarch – who died in 120 A.D. – said:

An imbalance between rich and poor is the oldest and most fatal ailment of all republics.

Given that the level of inequality in America today is one of the greatest in history, it is not surprising that the republic is ailing so badly.

SEED: 10 of The Craziest Things Newt Gingrich Has Ever Said

Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich is the latest not-Romney to capture the attention of GOP primary voters. With a solid lead in three early primary states, he’s giving the erstwhile front-runner a serious run for his money. While Newt may be the flavor of the moment, the Iowa caucuses are just three weeks away, so while he's behind in fund-raising and has had trouble organizing a nationwide campaign, it's impossible to count him out.

In light of his resurgence, let’s take a trip down memory lane and examine some of the most absurd statements Gingrich has made over the years. Rehashing every outrageous comment by Gingrich would be a lengthy endeavor, so this is not a comprehensive list.

SEED: Ron Paul gears Up For Long Primary Slog

In a far cry from his ragtag 2008 effort, Ron Paul is looking beyond the traditional early state contests and gearing up for a long primary slog that lasts at least through Super Tuesday.

It’s a strategy that could make Paul a player at the Republican convention in Tampa, Fla.

The Texas congressman’s long-haul approach is designed to take advantage of new GOP proportional allocation rules that enable candidates to amass delegates without finishing in first place, and to leverage the unique attributes of his campaign — an intensely loyal following and a steady flow of money that will likely enable him to continue for as long as he chooses.

Paul has already put teams in place in 12 caucus states through March 6, when about a dozen Republican primaries and caucuses will take place. On Wednesday, the campaign announced five office openings: Colorado, Maine, Minnesota, North Dakota and Washington.

None of it means Paul is dismissive of the early states.

Rather, he’s assembled an infrastructure aimed at giving him staying power and a voice at the national convention — a strategic approach that few other candidates besides Mitt Romney are pursuing at the moment.
